Artists need time to recharge.
We are cyclical beings.
We were never meant to be endlessly productive, or on display 24/7.
We need space to pause, reflect and experiment without pressure.
🌑
It’s in the cool, dark privacy of our inner world that we (re)find the creative pulse that fuels our work. When we reclaim these sacred boundaries, our work becomes alive and the process becomes filled with pleasure again.
That is the gentle power of the Cocoon.
Cocoon is a 6-week course for women who need a creative reset
In an intimate circle of 7 artists, you will journey through a series of workshops designed to gently guide you back to your unique spark. Cocoon is private space to experiment, break out of your habitual patterns, and encounter new sides of your expression.
Instead of focusing on output, you will play with no agenda, finding pleasure in the process and making space for new inspiration to emerge.
An artist retreat, from the private cocoon of your own home.
-
Reflective journaling, embodiment practices, discussion, meditations, playful exercises to expand your creative process and more. You will learn new tools for finding inspiration, work on a mini ‘joy project’ and deepen your sense of personal aesthetic. We will conclude the container with a sharing ritual.
-
For anyone who is interested in deepening their understanding of creative energy. Previous participants have had backgrounds in dance, fashion, textiles, theatre, visual arts, design, entrepreneurship, music and more. The more diverse, the better. You don’t have to be a ‘professional’ or ‘trained’ artist.
It’s a particularly friendly space if you’re highly sensitive, neurodivergent, multi-disciplinary or burned out.
-
Your presence is all that is required. Cocoon is intentionally designed to be fun and a light work load: 6 live workshops, an optional homework task each week, no extra materials. But, you are encouraged to make space in your life for the cocooning process to work, so if this falls in a hectic season for you, consider joining a future round to get the most out of it.
It is a live experience so you must be able to attend the majority of the dates below.
-
The 2 main results I’ve seen again and again in the 30+ women who have gone through this process:
~ women feeling profoundly (re)connected to their unique creative spark in a way they had been missing
~ women enjoying and taking pleasure in the process of creation, and re-discovering a lightness and play they had lost somewhere along the way
And some cherries on the cake include:
~ new projects conceived that I still get updates about 2 years later
~ old-dust-collecting projects revived from the “dead”
~ extreme creative freeze beginning to thaw
~ a participant returning to do a masters and citing Cocoon as giving her the courage
~ a participant sharing her art for the very first time and going on to create a new instagram for it
-
6 workshops, each 1.5 hours long.
A WhatsApp group for support and reflections during the container, and to stay in touch afterwards.
Meet your facilitator, Abi
Singer, business owner, multi-disciplinary artist.
Highly sensitive, feminine, cyclical.
The medicine of the cocoon first flowed into my journal the night before my 20th birthday, soothing deep existential anxiety and fears that I was running out of time to achieve my creative dreams.
The cocoon showed me that the darkness was nothing to be afraid of. That not knowing (yet) was a fertile space. That willingly entering into the void always led to transformation and creative rebirth.
I began to trust the cocooning process, welcome it even. It saved my creative life again and again.
It’s been a magical and mysterious unfolding to have shared this medicine now with over 30 women and it just keeps revealing more each time.
I hope to see you inside 🖤
“Like a thousand butterflies, your spirit will have a lifetime of cocoons and new wings. YOU are a fluttering, shimmering flock of butterflies, each flying higher and each more beautiful than the last.”

Testimonials
“Cocoon was the most inspiring, empowering and innovative environment, and has left me feeling rejuvenated and creatively inspired. It's allowed me to remember the joy of creativity in life once again, and to use it to infuse not only my creative practice but my daily act of living. The flow of the course felt so natural and stimulating, without any of the stress that some learning environments can have. I can't recommend this magical space enough.”
Rosa, Musician
“My experience with the Cocoon course was nothing short of transformative. Over the course of six weeks, I felt my creative spark reignite in ways I hadn’t expected. The support from the circle of incredibly sensitive and artistic women was profound. Each session felt like a nurturing space, where we could explore our inner worlds with intention and artistic expression. I’m truly grateful for this experience and the heartwarming connections I made along the way.”
Holly, Multi-Media Artist
“Cocoon helped me to heal and to nurture my creative spirit in a way that is unmatched and can’t really be possible in solitude! I will always remember the realisations and lessons I learnt about myself, making art & also about how to connect more fluently with other people! There was a real community feel to the workshops and discussions that we had, I found myself really looking forward to each session. Cocoon felt like all of the wisdom of an amazing self help book but with the addition of a real life connection and activities that I still use and think a lot about today.”
Alice, Visual & Performance Artist
“‘I absolutely loved cocoon! Abi created a safe and nurturing environment for a community of women I now call my friends to explore our creativity in a beautifully organic way. It has helped me discover more of myself as an artist and given me a community I didn’t know I desperately needed.’”
Chiara, Actor & Writer
“I’m so deeply grateful for Cocoon! It was so refreshing that I didn’t have to show up as the best version of myself. It was ok to feel empty & it was ok to be lost. Miraculously over the 6 week course Abi & our beautiful circle of inspiring women helped me re-find me! I’m flowing with ideas again & the unconditional love & support of a sisterhood of women, who have helped heal my creative soul.”
Tida, Artist & Curator
“I loved these sessions so much. An inviting and very supportive place to land amid the craziness of all the various projects I am currently working on. It’s been so comforting and inspiring to connect with other creatives from a variety of disciplines. The sessions and exercises were very insightful, helping me to clarify aspects of my creative direction and purpose, allowing for greater clarity, balanced with self-care and weekly support.”
Astra, Singer-Songwriter
“I believe you are creating a very powerful and quite unique experience. It’s the first time I bumped in a project like this, so that it was not easy to explain to the people around me, what exactly I was doing :) You are creating a space where women have the chance to tap into their inner creative worlds, learning how to let prejudices and other external limitations go, without fear, actually having fun! It’s incredible and you are a great host, patient and knowledgeable. I felt safe and supported in sharing my art for the first time and now I am excited and just want to share it more.”
Marta, 3D & Digital Artist
“Abi creates a welcoming feminine feeling space & is passionate about multidisciplinary artists & co-creating as community. Cocoon was a place of creative refuge; for contemplation, meditation, idea sharing, mixing & refining. My process was to gently open to new playful approaches, share my voice & be seen in a beautifully supportive circle of seastars!!”
Francine, Artist & Poet
“I loved how much consideration went into each session and the ambience and comfort that Abi created made me feel so safe and free to be myself. I liked the pace, it was just right and it felt very low pressure too, although I had produced a lot of art work by the end of it! I would recommend it if you have lost your creative spark or just want to be more inspired! I have met a lovely group of creative ladies along the way who I will be creating things with in the future! Thank you Abi you truly are a weaver of creative magic.”
